Introduction
TheZXT‐120isaZ‐WavetoIRextenderforair‐conditioner(AC),
(Figure1),itworkswithanyZ‐Wavecompliantgatewayorcontroller
bytranslatingZ‐WaveThermostatCommandstoACIRcontrolcode.
UsercanselecttheIRcodefromthebuilt‐incodelibraryof
ZXT‐120,
oruselearningfunction,byusingZ‐WaveConfigurationCommands
accordingtotheparametertable.ZXT‐120isalsowithbuilt‐in
temperaturesensorwhichallowsgatewayorcontrollertogetthe
currentroomtemperature.

ZXT‐120canbeconfiguredaseither“FrequentlyListeningRouting
Slaves”(FLiRS)or“AlwaysListening”nodeafterexclusionprocess
(beforeinclusionprocess).
FLiRSnodetypeisforbatteryoperatedapplicationsanditwillenter
sleepmodefrequentlyinordertoconservebatteryconsumptionthat
canprovidethe
flexibilityifthereisoutof5Vdcpowersource.Also,
usercanplacetheunitinanywhereathome.

application.Itworkswith5Vdcpowersource.AlwaysListeningnode
canactasarepeater,whichwillre‐transmitthe
RFsignaltoensure
thatthesignalisreceivedbyitsintendeddestinationbyroutingthe
signalaroundobstacleandradiodeadspots.
ZXT‐120supportsNetworkWideInclusion(NWI)andExploreFrames.
